Internal Medicine

 

 

We know it is important to have the resources to diagnose and treat your pet. Dr. Russell Greene at Phoenix Veterinary Internal Medicine Services is the only Board Certified Specialist in both Small Animal Internal Medicine, and Bacteriology & Mycology (infectious diseases). He has a mobile practice that allows us to provide his services to our patients here at our Central Phoenix Animal Hospital. Dr. Greene's services include consultations on complex internal medicine and infectious disease cases, ultrasound, endoscopy and more. He has been been providing his services in the Valley since 1992 and has helped many of our patients.

 

 

Dr. Russell T. Greene is Board Certified in both Small Animal Internal Medicine and Bacteriology & Mycology. Dr. Greene is a 1983 graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis. He completed his small animal medicine & surgery intership at Texas A & M Univeristy and completed his small animal internal medicine residency at North Caroline State University. While at NCSU, he obtained his PhD in Veterinary Microbiology, and then went on to do post-doctoral work in bacteriology, in Germany. In 1988, Dr. Greene became board certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine, and the following year he came board certified in Bacteriology & Mycology.

 

 

Dr. Greene has taught at the College of Veterinary Medicine

at North Caroline State University; has worked as an Internal

Medicine Consultant at Southwest Veterinary Diagnostics;

and has run two veterinary microbiology laboratories. He has

spoken at both nations and international veterinary conferences.

In addition, he has authored numerous publications, including

the chapter on Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever) in the text,

infectious diseases of the dog and cat. Dr. Greene has been

providing internal medicine consultations and special procedures to Arizona veterinarians in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area and the Prescott region since 1992-longer than any other small animal internist in the area.
